How We Get Ottawa Moving Again
Join a community town hall on 28 January to have your voice heard on solutions for better transportation in the city.
2026 is a big year for all of us who care about building a better Ottawa. Municipal elections take place in October.
To get ready for those elections, and better understand the issues and opportunities, I’ll be putting together some community town halls in the coming months.
First up — a town hall to hear your views on improving transportation.
How We Get Ottawa Moving Again will take place on Wednesday, 28 January from 6:30-8:00pm at the Blackburn Hamlet Community Hall (190 Glen Park Drive).
The Better Ottawa Municipal Panel will be there (minus Joanne who is away that week), along with two community organizers from the east end, Barbara Daniela Gandolfo and Justin Hughes.
We’ll be sharing some of our best ideas to get Ottawa moving, but more importantly, we want to hear from you.
What can we do to minimize construction delays? How do we get OC Transpo working again? How can we make it safe for kids to independently cycle and walk around their neighbourhood?
This town hall is your opportunity to get new transportation ideas on the table, and potentially on the agenda for the October elections.
I’m looking for 3-4 volunteers to help with the Town Hall, on site from 6:00-9:00pm for registration and other logistics. If that’s you, please send me an email: info@betterottawa.ca
