Last week, we held a People’s Committee meeting to let those of us who feel unheard on the Lansdowne 2.0 proposal be heard.
This was in response to Mark Sutcliffe and Cathy Curry pulling out all the procedural stops to prevent the public from speaking in front of the City’s Finance Committee.
We did our meeting in person and were floored with how many people showed up — some to speak, others just to listen to what their neighbours had to say.
3 July at 2-4pm on Zoom
We’re holding an online version of the People’s Committee, on Thursday 3 July at 2-4pm.
It will take place online at this Zoom link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/7238434047?omn=85985533140
Sign up to speak …
If you have thoughts on the Lansdowne 2.0 proposal, including whether this should be put to a referendum, this is your opportunity to be heard.
You will have 5 minutes to make a “delegation”, similar to the public presentations at City Committee meetings.
You can sign up to speak by clicking on the button below and adding your information.
… or just come to watch
Or just show up to hear what the community thinks.
We hope to see you on Thursday afternoon. In the meantime, have a great Canada Day!
