It's time for real solutions to transit. What do you want to see?
Transit affects everyone in Ottawa — whether you ride OC Transpo or not.
And we need to start talking about solutions now — as misguided Return to Office policies move forward.
Join me for a community town hall to help shape a real transit recovery plan: one focused on reliability, frequency and affordability.
I want to hear directly from residents about what’s broken, what needs to change and what a better transit system looks like for you.
June 8 at 7pm at Ray Friel in Orléans. Coffee and baked goods served.
Have your voice heard. There is limited seating. Sign up now.
Faites entendre votre voix.

I feel the media/others have already tagged Neil as right of centre because he talks about money instead of meaningless statements. This leaves you fighting with Alex Lawson and the mayor for voters. Leiper is all alone hovering up voters who can't vote for what gets tagged as "right wing" because it involves saving money instead of carelessly throwing it at problems.
I have always believed a society does best when governed by what I've coined as compassionate conservatives. They believe in supporting social goods; transit, city services, recreation, helping those who can't help themselves, local business.
Money/costs are managed tightly in order to get value for tax dollars, an appropriate sized/compensated bureaucracy, public servants who are problem solvers and go getters not risk averse, debt is treated as something to avoid if possible, contracts/capital purchases are made with an eye to how long they last, can they be repaired/modified in order to prolong them, seeing what's successfully been employed in other jurisdictions that will work for us ....you get the idea.
Managing costs leaves more money available for well...anything. The left has always been opposed to anything that didn't fit with whatever ideology flavour they are. In short this is the typical approach taxpayers use for their own finances because it's their money. Bureaucracies tend not to treat tax dollars carefully because it's OPM....other people's money.
I believe Ottawa would be better served by a compassionate conservative and so far Neil is the only one who has laid out defined/costed plans as opposed to meaningless utterances.
My 2 cents
