We're Not Waiting. We're Building People Power.
On 27 May, take the first step towards a City Hall that works for you.
Is City Hall working for you?
Ottawa City Hall has a big impact on whether you can get ahead or not.
Whether you can afford housing, get around the city with ease, or even feel safe on our streets.
Often, it feels like City Hall has stopped working for ordinary people. At the same time, established interests seem to be doing just fine getting what they want.
Find your power to fix it
If the system feels rigged against people like you, there is a way to address it.
It’s not easy, but it involves people like you and me working together to turn our resources into power. People power.
We’re building people power in Ottawa
We each have resources — the people we know, the contributions in cash or in kind we provide, and ultimately, the votes we cast.
Together, we can turn our individual resources into collective power.
Our people power is stronger than their political power. We just have to first find and unleash that people power.
Step 1 is the People’s Summit 2025
We’re starting the journey of systematically building people power in Ottawa.
That starts at the People’s Summit 2025 on 27 May from 5:30-9:00pm in central Ottawa.
The Summit will bring together a core constituency who are ready to stand up for a better Ottawa.
It’s where we start to get organized.
It’s for anyone who thinks we can expect better from City Hall.
Is that you?
Or someone you know?
Register now
Register for the People’s Summit.
It’s open to everyone. Youth, elders, first-time changemakers, and longtime advocates.
We’re keen to see people who are new to getting involved, and wondering how they can help improve the local community.
We’re keeping costs as low as possible, and have early bird tickets for $25 available until 9 May.
Please note that we have limited space.
We know a lot of you want to build a better Ottawa. To hold City Hall to account. To create greater transparency. To see our tax dollars spent with care.
Together, we can have power. People power. But only when people like you stand up.

We have power, when we choose to use it. The People’s Summit is your invitation to finding and unleashing your power to build a better Ottawa.

I admire your public activism, Neil. And, no, City Hall is not working for me, and I suspect, many others as well. Unfortunately, Council is composed of too many average folks who just go with the flow and don’t want to stand up for taxpayers. I mean why would anyone give the Lansdowne developers public money to continue their charade of pretending to fix a failed business plan? Why solve the real problems when you can spend hours discussing traffic cameras? Perhaps you should create a slate of likeminded candidates who will be available in the next municipal election. You’d have my vote.
