The most informative "show" on Ottawa municipal issues.

Some comments:

- camera adjustment. Love the zoom-style view of each of Neil, Joanne and John, but...

Re Jeff Leiper for Mayor. The biggest mistake that McKennie made was presuming that only the pre amalgamation city of Ottawa was relevant. As a Kanata Community Asociation Board member, there was v little outreach in the last election beyond the greenbelt, and the issues she got behind were irrelevant to those who voted for Sutcliff.

Why is it on paramedics? Why can’t hospitals have equally-educated nurses or nurse-practitioners be dedicated to take the patients under their care until a doc can see them, relieving the paramedics to get back into their ambulances to go out on call? IMO CEOs of hospitals are too well paid in comparison with the front line staff - adjust the budgets to have more staff in ER (and make more government-salaried NPs to run urgent-care clinics in more communities working with salaried doctors and other health professionals).

Maybe more people will now watch the replay of committee meetings to see how Jeff relates to other councillors and acts as representative to his constituents. Also to see how other councillors could be good candidates and maybe should be encouraged to jump into the race. Big sacrifice for families. Are there other citizens in the community who also have leadership skills who we do not hear about much but are active in their own spheres?
