I agree that where money is spent (traffic cameras) should be dedicated and transparently reported. Since we will be coming up to budget discussions, now is a good time to request this clarity. And on that- appeal to Feds for bigger municipal share of income taxes or Feds create ways for municipalities to raise income besides property taxes.
I am flabbergasted, confounded, bamboozled, befuddled, disappointed and disillusioned by the camera funding being spent on the police and anything outside of direct road safety initiatives. I don't know how many times I've defended this initiative as "not being a cash grab, it's desperately needed to fund more safe road infrastructure". Now I need to travel back in time and retroactively agree with the carbrained. thanks, council.
